This procedure calculates the Pearson product moment correlation coefficients for each pair of variables. It can be used to test if variables are correlated.
1. Choose ProcessMA > Statistics > Basic Statistics > Correlation.
2. In Variables, select the columns containing the data you want to correlate.
3. Click OK.
Note To select a column of data into a textbox, double-click on any of the column names shown in the list on the left of the dialog box while in the textbox.
Variables: Numeric.
You have data on the sales revenue, number of sales representatives on the field, the amount spent on marketing and the range of products offered. You want to find out if there are correlated.
1. Open worksheet ProcessMA > Tools > Data Files > Regression.xls.
2. Choose ProcessMA > Statistics > Basic Statistics > Correlation.
3. In Variables, select C – Sales, D – Reps, E – Marketing, F – Products.
4. Click OK.

Interpretation
Except between Marketing and Products, low p-values suggest that correlations among variables are not zero.
