The Matrix Plot is made up of individual scatter plots for several variables. It is useful for visualising the relationship among many variables, pairwise, all in the same chart.
Note: Limited to 10 variables at one time.
At the Excel Menu (For Excel 2007, go to Add-ins first)
Choose ProcessMA > Graphs > Matrix Plot
In Variables, select the columns containing the data (Numeric, >=2 Variables)
Check Plot Partial, if you want to plot lower half the matrix plot only
Click OK
You know that sales revenue is dependent on the number of sales representatives on the field, the amount spent on marketing and the range of products offered. You gathered data from 30 branches and you want to visualise the relationship between sales revenue and its factors.
Open data worksheet by choosing ProcessMA > Tools > Data
Choose ProcessMA > Graphs > Matrix Plot
In Variables, select G - Sales, H - Reps, I - Marketing, J - Products
Check Plot Partial
Click OK
