The tool selector can help you to select the appropriate tool in ProcessMA based on your objective and data type. You can select the tool by Six Sigma DMAIC phases or by functional categories.
At the Excel Menu (For Excel 2007, go to Add-ins first)
Choose ProcessMA > Tools > Tools Selector > By DMAIC or By Function
Click on the left-hand side buttons to select tools for that category.
Click on the flow diagram based on your objective and/or data type (current selection is highlighted in blue)
Click on the right-hand side buttons to launch the desired tool
The selected tool will be launch automatically. ProcessMA will return you to the Tool Selector again once you are done.
To close the Tool Selector, press ESC or Close the dialog box.
You are in the improve phase of a Six Sigma DMAIC project. Use the ProcessMA selector to select a tool to analyze the potential failure modes of your new process.
Choose ProcessMA > Tools > Tools Selector > By DMAIC
Click IMPROVE button on the left-hand side.
Click Failure Mode & Effect Analysis button on the bottom row to launch the tool.
